Václavíka 241, 763 26 Luhačovice, ID: 26948508, registered in the commercial register kept at the Municipal Court in Prague under sp.C 204899 (hereinafter referred to as "Hotel Augustiniánský dům"), as the operator of the Wellness & Spa Hotel Augustiniánský dům and the website www.augustian.cz, undertakes to protect your personal data and respect your right to privacy.

This Policy sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data we obtain from you or that you provide to us.

We take a clear approach to explaining our privacy practices as recommended by supervisory authorities. DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU

 

It is important for us that you know what and how we process your personal data and for what purposes we use it, with the aim of operating more efficiently in providing expert information on personal data protection and enabling you to obtain the essential information on personal data protection.

(i) this is necessary for the fulfillment of a contract (e.g. accommodation in a hotel or the provision of another service or product) to which you are a party, or for the implementation of measures prior to the conclusion of such a contract (e.g. booking a stay or service), or

(ii) it is required of us as the operator of the hotel facility by the relevant legal regulations (e.g. ID number or passport and/or visa, purpose of stay and nationality), or

(iii) you have given us your consent (e.g. e-mail address or telephone number for sending marketing communications), or

(iv) it is our legitimate interest in order to improve the quality of our services provided to you and to protect the property and health of guests (e.g. the hotel's camera system, data for general inquiries, special requests, cookies, etc.).

These personal data are in particular:

  • name, surname, or title
  • ID card, passport or visa number
  • birthdate
  • address and/or permanent residence in the Czech Republic or abroad
  • nationality
  • telephone number
  • email address
  • car registration plate
  • room number
  • time and date of arrival and departure
  • purpose of stay
  • camera records from the hotel stay
  • cookies

You can provide us with some of this information, for example, by filling out forms on the website or when starting your stay (registration card) or by communicating with us via phone, e-mail or otherwise.We also collect some of them automatically, for example by using cookies when you visit our website, or as part of the operation of the camera system in our hotel premises.Personal data will be stored and used for the time necessary for their use and in accordance with the relevant legal regulations.

We receive and store information that you enter on our website or that you provide to us in any other way including, for example, information that you provide to us during your stay as a guest of our hotel.The provision of any information is voluntary unless otherwise stated.However, in cases where you choose not to provide certain information, it is possible that we will not be able to answer or respond to your inquiry or request and you will not be able to use some or all of our services.This information is mainly the so-called mandatory information provided on the basis of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the stay of foreigners in the territory of the Czech Republic, as amended, and Act No. 565/1990 Coll., on local fees, as amendedregulations.This is the name, surname, date of birth, citizenship, permanent residence abroad, travel document and visa number, if indicated in the travel document, the beginning and end of the accommodation, or the purpose of the stay.

INFORMATION FROM OTHER SOURCES

 Guided by efforts to increase the level of personalization of our services (for example, providing recommendations or special offers that we believe may be of interest to you), we may obtain information from other sources and supplement it with existing information about you.In cases where it is necessary for us to be able to provide you with services, conclude or fulfill a contract with you, or answer your questions or requests or respond to them by taking measures, we may share existing information with third parties.We also use third-party service providers to process payments between the booker and the accommodation.These service providers share payment information so that we can manage your bookings and make sure that everything is in order with your booking.

When implementing our marketing campaigns, we also work with Facebook or Instagram, for example.We do not store the data you publish, but we use it through cooperation with third parties (processors) to better target our campaigns.

 

USE OF THIS INFORMATION

We use the information we collect about you to provide you with our services (fulfill our contractual obligations to you), fulfill our legal obligations, notify you of changes to our services and/or to improve our services. We may also use this information, with your consent, to inform you about other services and products that we or selected third parties offer that are similar to those you have already used or inquired about or that target what you are interested.

We further use your personal data mainly for the purpose of completing and managing your reservation and on its basis to fulfill the accommodation contract, which is the most important thing for our company as a provider of such services.

 

We also use your data for marketing activities.These activities primarily include the use of your contact information for the purpose of sending you news about products and services related to your visit to our hotel, the creation of a reservation by you, or the creation of a user account.You can quickly and easily unsubscribe from this marketing communication at any time using the unsubscribe link included in each newsletter.

If you provide us with your e-mail address and/or telephone number, we may provide you with advertising and marketing materials by e-mail, text message or telephone similar to those you have already used or inquired about or which target what youinterested.At the same time, we may ask you to consent to the sending of advertising and marketing materials that are not similar to those you have already used or inquired about or that target what interests you.

 

If you stay as a guest in our hotel, we may also use your e-mail address to send a questionnaire as part of a customer satisfaction survey after your stay.If you do not wish such a questionnaire to be sent to you, you can inform us of this fact at the e-mail address: sales@augustian.cz.

In the case of online hotel bookings, you may also be sent an automatically generated email confirmation if you make any purchase transactions with us, and occasionally from our sales booking agents in relation to inquiries relating to your booking of any of our products andservices.

 

If you do not complete your online reservation, we may send you an email reminding you that you have an incomplete reservation.We believe that this is a useful service, because thanks to it you can continue the reservation you have already started and you do not have to fill in your reservation details again.We may also need to send you other administrative messages, including security notices, even though you have no upcoming booking.

DISCLAIMER OF YOUR INFORMATION

We will not disclose your personal information to anyone except as described in this Policy.

We may share your personal information with third parties to inform you about products and services that meet the above conditions, if we have your permission to do so or where required or permitted by law.

We may also share your personal data with third parties in order to prevent crime and reduce risks, if required by law and where we deem it appropriate, in response to a legal process or to protect the rights or property of the Wellness & Spa Hotel Augustinian House, our customers or other persons.

If a chargeback is required for your booking by you or the cardholder that guaranteed the booking, we may need to share some booking details with payment service providers and relevant financial institutions.This data may include a copy of your booking confirmation or the IP address from which the booking was made.If we deem it necessary, we may share your data with the relevant financial institutions for the purpose of fraud detection and prevention.

We disclose personal data for the purposes of fulfilling legal obligations and in the case of law enforcement, if required by law or necessary for the prevention, detection and prosecution of crimes and fraud.

We may also further disclose personal information to relevant authorities to protect and defend our rights and property or the rights and property of our business partners.We cooperate with business partners all over the world.Some of these business partners distribute or promote our services or help our other business partners distribute and promote their own travel-related services. This may mean that their services are integrated into our website/apps and they are allowed to show you personalized advertising.

We ensure adequate procedures to prevent unauthorized access to personal data and their misuse.

In order to protect and secure the personal data you provide us, we use the necessary business systems and procedures.We also use security procedures and technical and physical restrictions on access to and use of personal information on our servers.Only authorized personnel who work with the data have access to personal data.

LENGTH OF RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We only keep your personal data for as long as necessary, i.e. mainly for the purpose of being able to fulfill the concluded contract and legal obligations.

For the purposes of archiving contracts (and any claims that may arise from the contract even after its termination) and with regard to legal requirements, we keep data for a maximum of 10 years after the termination of the contractual relationship.For the purposes of fulfilling the contract and legal obligations, we may process the necessary personal data without the consent of the data subject.

The recordings of the camera system of the Wellness & Spa Hotel Augustinian House are kept for 14 days.

YOUR RIGHTS

Where relevant, you have a number of rights under data protection law including the right to object to processing, the right to inspect personal data held about you;you can also ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date;you can also limit the scope of personal data that we process about you;request the transfer of your personal data to another organization;or you have the right to delete your personal data, i.e. the so-called "to be forgotten".

If the processing of personal data is based on the controller's legitimate interest (including direct marketing), you can object to this processing if this processing relates to the objected purpose.
