Buchlovice Chateau

Baroque chateau built at the foot of Chřiby Mountains not far from the unconquerable Buchlov castle looks rather like a noble seat in sunny Italy.

Not only richly decorated chateau halls and rooms with period furniture but also a unique park attract visitors.
 

Lednice-Valtice area (UNESCO)

The area demarcated by Valtice, the capital of the Lichtensteins, and Lednice – their summer seat, makes the example of sensitively composed landscape with a number of smaller and big romantic buildings so called salets.
 

Archiepiscopal chateau (UNESCO)

Originally a renaissance chateau of the bishops and archbishops of Olomouc is one of the dominant features of Kroměříž. Together with the so called Chateau and Flower gardens it is one the most attractive tourist places in Moravia. It was listed as a UNESCO treasure in 1998.

Vizovice 20 km

Lies at the foot of Vizovice highlands. Its baroque church is well known for its picturesque interirors and for the gallery featuring some Flemish masters. Vizovice is also famous for its distillery. The first distillery was mentioned in 1603. Later the production of spirits (mainly plum brandy - slivovice) was connected with the trademark Jelinek.
 

Zlín 26 km

Business and industrial center of South-East Moravia. The important landmark was the year 1894 when the shoe company of the Baťa family was established. In 2000 the city buldings from 1910 – 1950 won the title Buildings of the Century in a nationwide poll.
 

Lešná 35 km

The area called Lešná is connected with the Austrian noble family Sailern. Present ZOO is a nice park with a biggest collection of birds in the Czech Republic. But there are other interesting animals like gorillas, seals, giraffes or penguins. Breeding of famous lipizzaner horses was also preserved. Chateau Lešná can be found in the area of the ZOO.
 

Velehrad 43 km

The origin and development of this place of pilgrimage is connected with the founding of one of the richest late Romanesque Cistercian monastery. Pope John Paul II visited Velehrad in 1990.
