Augustinian House - Hotel Luhačovice

"Welcome, my friends,

to the place which is dear to me. We can not meet in time but we can meet at least in the space. The Agustinian House, which you are about to visit or maybe you already are its regular visitors, was a place of rest and creative work to me for a long time.
I regularly visited Luhacovice and the region became a source of my inspiration. Just imagine the number of folk songs I heard here! And it was right here in the Augustinian House that a part of my world famous Glagolitic Mass or drafts of my beloved Cunning Little Vixen were composed.
I was enchanted by all the life beuties and its strangeness, by good and evil, pleasure and sadness, love and hatred, fight and reconciliation – simply by anything that my life brought about. A I was trying to show all of that in my music.
You may know me from concert halls, from recordings which you listen to in the peace of your homes or just from school.
